I almost died – Funny Face opens up on combat with depression

Comedian cum actor Funny Face is thanking God for his life after browsing some serious challenges which he says could have ended his life.
This comes after the actor’s antics and statements on social media raised concerns among his fans and followers.
Funny Face in an interview with Graphic Showbiz revealed that he had been battling with depression.
He said, “where I need to with my depression was so serious that I could have died if not for God. Everyone I thought could help me turned their backs on me and I felt I was alone in this world.
“It took the intervention of God for me to come back again. Now I’m doing great and it’s all the doing of God.”
According to Funny Face, he’s completely healed and although some people may believe he’s not well, he’s doing fine.
“Someone who isn’t well can’t be speaking this manner and acting normal like I’m doing now. Those who saw me once I was browsing my depression saw a special Funny Face. I am fine now and that I pray I won’t return to where I used to be again,” he stated.
Asked what he has been up to while recovering, Funny Face said he had tons of things he was performing on including.
He disclosed that he has been working to bring back his Cow and Chicken series which has been off the screens for a short time.
He also stated that he would be putting up a one-man stand-up show to let Ghanaians in on what actually happened to him.
“Believe it’ll be right on behalf of me to inform Ghanaians what happened to me through get up comedy. I am planning the date and the time for the show but it will surely be this year.
“He said, I’m going all bent tell Ghanaians deep secrets about me and therefore the quite things that I went through. I believe I can impact some lives with my story,”.
This year Funny Face, real name Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, fell out together with his actor friends Bismark. The Joke, Kalybos (Richard Asante), and Lilwin (Kwadwo Nkansah), calling them out on social media, describing them as hypocrites and threatening to show their secrets.
He accused Lilwin of scheming and making him lose out on big deals and once they met on United Showbiz on UTV.
Their interaction nearly turned physical and it took the intervention of the panel. The host Nana Ama McBrown to get them to smoke the peace pipe.
Then he and his wife separated with the lady removing his twin girls Ella and Bella. Something that sent him into an extra spiral on social media.
